What does it mean to get a verified member seal?

As a professional buyer/seller in the domain industry, becoming a verified member will put your mind at ease against possible fraud when carrying out transactions with other Verified Members.   It will also help increase your business as a professional.  Dnforum.com is doing everything we can to combat fraud within our industry and increase trust and professionalism of its members.  The DNF Verified Member Seal represents a commitment to the highest standards of business ethics in the domain name industry.

Based on your membership level, you will receive one of the verified membership badges above highlighting your verified status.

Please note that becoming a “Verified DNF Member” does not mean that it will cut out fraud 100% it just means that it will hopefully reduce the number of fraud transactions that occur between verified members.

Large corporations such as Ebay and Paypal cannot eliminate the fraud completely, neither can Dnforum.com.   

The purpose of the verification process is to reduce the likelihood of an issue between verified members.

Once a dispute is received both verified parties will be sent each other’s contact information.  If the dispute cannot be amicably resolved between the two parties within 7 days, dnforum.com will take a look at the dispute. 

Dnforum.com will then decide if a suspension is in order for either or both users.

Dnforum.com will only get involved in disputes that are directly related to a thread.  We will not get involved in sales or discussions that occur outside the thread section.  In other words, if you have a dispute regarding a sale that occurred through chat or PM, Dnforum.com will not get involved and all disputes related to such will be dismissed without action.

What do I need to do to get verified?

In order to receive the “Verified Member Seal” at Dnforum.com you will need to do the following:

1) Please send a payment of $5.00 US through the payment links provided by us through
2checkout.com or your verified paypal.com account. You will be given the $5 back in dnf$.

Note* Verified shipping address must be shown when making the $5.00 Payment. 

2) Fax or Email a copy of your paid receipt and a recent utility bill (not more than 3 months old at time of verification) reflecting your name and full address. The utility bill address provided should be the same as the one associated with your paypal.com or 2heckout.com contact details.  The utility bill can be parents’ utility bill as long as the addresses match. When faxing your utility bill make sure you include your Dnforum username.  

Note* Mobile phone bills are not accepted
