I have the domain name IAF.org in live sedo auction which ends today.

The traffic stats were showing up ok until today.

The traffic for the last 10 days is 339 but when you look at the auction page it shows no traffic.

Has this happened to anyone else and is there anything that can be done as it will probably effect the closing price?

I have a site that is well used in the Medical Profession.

I have had many offers/inquiries from others to advertise directly on my site.

Yesterday I was contacted by the Business Manager of a respectable organization to inquire about my rates for direct advertising.

I have some pricing models that I have developed in the past but would love more input.

There are many factors to consider but let me give you a basic idea of my site for some background information:



To give you an idea of our reach, 2008 saw 489,000 visitors to our site.

This year, 2009, to date we have topped 800,000 users to our site.

Google Analytics shows that nearly 80% (79.65) are new visitors and we have an average of nearly 3 minutes (2:57) of time the visitor stays on our site. This to me is a staggering number as most sites are luck if they can keep a visitor beyond 20 seconds.

Sources of traffic are 63% search engines, 28% referring sites, and 9% direct traffic.

We use a variety of methods to reach our audience, primarily word of mouth and social networking.

For medical professions represented, keyword specific searches we are highly ranked on both Yahoo and Google.


What rates would you submit based on the reach and the audience?

I would like to know if anyone can suggest a program that would allow me to search for unregistered domain names like this:

Enter primary keyword: XXXX

enter secondary keyword list (up to 25): yyy1, yyy2, yyy3, yyyy4 ,etc.


Then the program would then try to find unregistered domains in the following format:

XXXX yyy1
XXXX yyy2
XXXX yyy3
XXXX yyy4
XXXX yyy..etc

and also the opposite:

yyy1 xxxx
yyy2 xxxx
yyy3 xxxx
yyy4 xxxx


Basically I want to be able to enter a primary keyword along with a list of secondary terms and have it take the primary word and then try each of the secondary terms and find anything unregisterd.

Well i dunno if they ever went away but i have noticed this same chinese corp bidding across the board fro domains,there seems to be no stopping them,no matter what bid i put in they go higher,i have already took them upto over $2k for one domain from less than $500.

Would you buy .tv domains? If not, why is that?

Would you buy a domain that has OVER 2 Million Exact searches, but it's a .tv?

Do .tv domains help rank in the search engines for the main keyword, or .tv don't really rank at all?

The main reason for my interest in .tv is because I've found a domain with keywords that are searched MORE than 2 Million Exact times a month.

I know that if a domain passes through expiring stage and deletes and then is bought through a backordering service - it's creation date changes to the new date it is bought.

They seem to be spending alot of money tdnam,i have seen some of their domains run into thousands ......

They seem to stick them on sedo after they have won them.......

1) would you prefer a longtail .com domain that's a two worder that produces over 1million search queries on google or a short 2 worder that produces 40k on google but the ad bidding is 3 times higher than the longtail 2 worder?


2)would you prefer the singular .com 2 word domain with high ad bidding in google, or the plural .com 2 word domain with over 1 million search queries but low ad bidding?
