To answer your questions:
Total each month
Currently the sites have been generating $3000-4000/month on advertising banner sales alone, however we have only been promoting advertising on two of the three thus far. Ultimately, with potential of recurring income from affiliate commissions, advertising, and membership, along with three independent, the income would be substantially more.
Expenses:
We haven't had the resources necessary to put into promoting the sites, so currently we haven't spent any money advertising the site.
The only other expense is hosting; we run a number of enterprises on a dedicated server, which currently costs $119/month. The hosting cost is the only running cost associated with the sites, and i'd imagine depending on the traffic can be substantially lower, as you could run the sites on a packaged or shared hosting rather than it's own dedicated server!
As mentioned before, we haven't had the resources to dedicate substantial time to the sites. We've spent approximately 5-10 hours in total a week doing various promotion, sales for advertising, and so forth. Other than that, the entire system is automated so it runs on its own.
Traffic
Recent traffic has ranged from about 5-7k unique/month. It has grown continually since the launch (partially because a number of the traffic is recurring members who use the site as a hub, and new members based on promotion, exposure, etc.)
