** Update **
I sold this domain to paktrader, pushed domain all seemed OK. Next day had paypal reversal. Be warned about this.
Paypal dont want to know.
enom dont want to know.
Be very careful who you trade with.
PS. If any senior members have any ideas how to get my name back I would appriciate any advice.
Regards
Enom are usually very good with this, I had a name returned to me within a few hours when a simlar thing happened.
I reccomend you call enom and explain and providing the name hasn't been moved away they should be able to push the domain back into your account.
Best of luck!
I was also hoping this was the case as I have read that with enom and namecheap some names had been returned. But I got a very definate NO back from the legal department. See below :-Originally Posted by J2theIZZO

If eNom were to step in and police the matter we would be putting ourselves in the middle of a dispute in which we currently are not involved. We just cannot place ourselves in a position of authority in a case in which we have none.

So I dont know why they return some names but not others. Legal stuff sounds like bit of cop out to me![]()
Hi Discdome
Interesting that enom has helped others isn't it?
Have you reported the incorrect whois data through
http://wdprs.internic.net/
There are quite a few things I don't understand about this sale though
Maybe you could answer
a. Did you hand register freeproxyserver.org in Oct 2005?
b. Did you ever provide anyone with evidence of where the 50,000 uniques for freeproxyserver.org visits were coming from?
c. Was your original price $35,000 and then reduced to $750
d. Are you the person selling freeproxyserver.net as a high traffic name for $600 on WHT forum?
e. Are you aware that freeproxyservers.net and freeproxyservers.org are availbale to register?

To answer your questions :-
a). Registered through my enom account in Oct 2005
b). Full stats where supplied for the domain, traffic is real, these proxy sites can get very good traffic.
c). $35,000 is not the price of this domain, that is a price for gadget.co.uk its just part of my signature.
d). No I am not.
e). Thanks, I normally try an area then move on. I like to learn, earn and goBut in this case it was more like "Learn, Loose and Learn"
Thanks for your comments though.
