MyspaceCodeCity.com - 8,000 visitors/mo - Just trying to get rid of it!

www.MyspaceCodeCity.com is a resource that is used by MySpace users that allows them to make their profile more interactive.

It is an established site with good domain name and traffic: 6000+ visits, 20,000+ page views per month. The month of September was awesome with 8000+ visits and 30000+ page views.

My time is really very limited, so I am freeing myself from properties and domains I definitely won't have time to manage or develop in the near future. This is one of them.

MARKETING
Marketing is easy through MySpace bulletins or other means. I advertised in the first month and that brought in nearly 50,000 page views with minimal investment. I have not done any more advertising than that, but the traffic still holds, if not growing.

REVENUE
It runs ONLY some AdSense ads (no banners, no pop-ups, no links etc), but nothing spectacular. Most likely I am doing something wrong with the site, because the traffic is growing, but the capitalization aspect of it is not under good control. It brings in just a few dollars a month ($5-$10). With an average of 90-110 clicks per month (based on 3 months), you should do much better than that if you spend a little more time on SEO or switch to Yahoo! Publisher Network (I am in Canada, that's why can't use it yet). Add other forms of advertising displayed and you'll probably double/triple the revenue stream.

TRAFFIC
This is probably the most valuable asset of this sale. During the initial advertising campaign I have established a fair amount of profiles already using the codes from my site. They have been using it for at least 4-5 months now, and the traffic they are driving is targeted and responsive. I have not done any more advertising due to my lack of time.

Please see following links for traffic details:

http://www.myspacecodecity.com/myspacecodecity3.gif
http://www.myspacecodecity.com/myspacecodecity4.gif
http://www.myspacecodecity.com/myspacecodecity5.gif

All traffic comes from search engines and active real profiles. There are a lot of direct hits.

TRANSFER PROCESS
The buyer receives everything: all content (purchased from a turnkey content provider), domain name, promotional text and graphic in HTML format I made for bulletins, etc.

Upon confirmed payment:
Step 1: Domain name will be transfered to buyer.
Step 2: Back-up files generated by CPanel will be ZIP'ed along with all other related files. An unique URL will be provided for ZIP file download.

PRICE TAG
Buy It Now: $495

This is an outstanding startup environment to grow from. In the hands of someone who knows what he/she is doing, this web site will grow much faster. Please ask me should you have any questions.

I really personally do not care what you do with the site. If you like the domain/traffic, you can use it to forward it somewhere or park it and collect revenue from it. I just do not have any time whatsoever for this, nor experience.

NOTE: I will not provide support for this web site as I do not have coding skills.

Best,
Artashes

Can you explain where the 300+ visitors a day are coming from? It is not appear in any type of myspace searched on google. has a low PR. low alexa. very few pages indexed.

I would be interested, but I need this info cleared up please.

Guys, my apologies for a slightly delayed response.
Thank you for your interest in the site/domain - whichever is of most value to you.

Yes, mambo, of course you can. Any offer is appreciated. Unfortunately, I have to respectfully decline offers below $300 at this time, since I purchased the script for $79 I believe at *********, and then spend another $60-70 to advertise it, plus hosting expense. So for me selling it slightly above cost when it is already an established venue makes little sense. Hope you understand.

Hi Josh, let me try my best.

Apart from the first month promotion that I spent money on, I did no other advertising. All the traffic comes from user profiles and search engines. At least this is what Awstats is telling me:

I think the stats are pretty solid.

You can double it within just a few days though if you really want to grow the site. There are MySpace bulletins being sold on DigitalPoint forums for $5-10 sent to 100,000+ accounts. As far as my promotional efforts went, I sent just a few bulletins (I will include the promotional text) to no larger than 50,000 account crowd. So you should not really notice any traffic changes if you buy the site.

I also didn't link to it from anywhere else (at least to my knowledge).

PS: I sold another site before (web based flash games) in worse condition traffic-wise than this one, and the new owner is actually doing very well with it, beating even my expectations by a lot! This one, compared to what I see for sale nowadays, is in good condition.

Btw, Josh, I have to correct you - I had a few 300+ visits days. Most of them are 200+ visit days. Except for in September the traffic was slightly above 8100 visits.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.

Best,

EDIT: I wasn't aware the name of the site I mentioned in my post above is censored. I am not going to bend the rules and name it, but its just another forum.

Re: MyspaceCodeCity.com - 8,000 visitors/mo - Just trying to get rid of it!

Instead of starting a new thread, I'd rather post here that I will let this site go for $300. I really need to move on to other projects.
