Don't know if anyone can suggest a way to go here, but heres the story.
I set up an owners forum for Nissan 4x4 trucks right at the end of August, and as you can see from these stats;
http://www.nissan-navara.net/navstats.jpg
It has achieved almost 30,000 uniques already (stats are dated November 5th).
Adsense revenue has worked out to well over $100 per month, and is increasing all of the time as the member count goes up.
Due to being a bit short of cash right now, I would love to sell the domain, but as it is a functional forum that uses MySQL, presumably it could not be transferred?
I want the forum to continue to operate and grow, both for the members sake and for it to keep earning revenue - can anyone suggest a solution, assuming anyone is interested in buying it?
If it cannot be transferred, would anyone be interested in simply having their Adsense 'codes' on there - I would of course be happy to provide any relevant documentation to protect your investment.
Please get in touch if interested, or if you can suggest a solution.
Thanks and regards,
Ezzer.
Considering how Nissan.com is a famous case of corporate wrestling, I am surprised you've gone thus far with it.
I hear what you say, but I don't think motor manufacturers generally have a problem with owners clubs etc. - in the main I think they consider them good for business.
There is a similar forum for just about every vehicle out there, I was lucky that I chose one that no one had previously 'done'.
I would be astonished if Nissan ever complained about the site, it is in no way cybersquatting or any kind of typo.
If you think about it, probably half of the sites on the web relate to a consumer product in one way or another, this site is in no way a direct drain on Nissan's business activities.
I could be wrong, and thank you for your comments anyway.
Ezz.
PM me traffic/revenue screenshots and BIN.
Thanks
Hi dcristo,
Thanks for your interest.
I hope you don't think I am rude for not PM'ing you, but I have no BIN (I don't feel 'qualified' in such matters), the traffic screenshot can be found on the link in the first post, and I have uploaded a revenue screenshot here because it seemed easier, and no doubt other people would ask me the same question;

I only began Adsense on the site on September 10th, this is why I have started the report then.
Please be assured that if we begin to negotiate or whatever that I will keep it confidential.
Best wishes,
Ezz.
p.s. sorry if the screenshots look 'doctored', it is just purely where I have had to join multiple shots together, the revenue one covered 4 pages for example. All figures are true and as supplied to me by 1and1 and Google respectively.

Thanks.
Have you got adsense channel sites and more detailed traffic stats you can show me? Where is the bulk of the traffic coming from? Have you spent any money on advertising?
I'd be interested in having my adsense codes there. The question is: once you've effectively sold the domain, what motivates you to keep building the site and working at its growth?
Hi, sorry for the delay getting back to you.

To see some Adsense stats prior to this site being included.
I don't think I have any more detailed traffic stats, unless you can suggest where I amy find them?
The traffic comes from word of mouth on other forums, the members advertise the site too with stickers and flyers etc. (although this part is fairly new, traffic could begin to accelerate even faster soon).
I have spent about $35 with Adwords in the first week or so, and I have an ongoing advertisement that costs around $1 per week! I don't want to disclose how I do this in case anyone tries to sabotage it, but I will continue to run the ad as I want the site to remain busy in any eventuality.
Hope this helps, best wishes,
Ezz.
Hi, apologies again for the delayed response.
Please believe me when I say, I didn't create the site with Adsense in mind - it was set up for my own 'enjoyment', and because I have a friend who deals in the trucks (if you look on the site you will see references to Asset Vehicle Management, that's his company). As such, the site will continue to be promoted and 'talked about' regardless of what happens here.
I just thought I would pop Adsense codes on to see what happened, I was quite surprised by the results.
For added info, I have just checked my Adsense account, we are at $59.50 month to date, so it appears to be growing some more.
Hope this is useful,
Ezz.

Still looking for investors?
As long as you can do a proper file backup and the same for the sql database you can indeed sell the website with the domain name. Having the files and the database is all one would need to move the site to another server. For someone who knows what they are doing it would be a piece of cake.
