Thanks for the comment. The name is on track to make a few hundred dollars this year and at $750 minimum offer the price is very reasonable. It is worth that alone as a brandable name. Also, if I was trying to pull a fast one I woud nt have included the extreme low numbers or the extreme high. I also have received an offer by way of Afternic and there were no stats mentioned on that. I will never do business with you because of that comment, and I don't care if you are in charge of this board or not.

When traffic jumps from 39 visitors per day to 2000+ visitors per day in less than a week something is up.

The traffic is there for everyone to see. I would have started it on the January 22nd or 25th if I was trying to hide something. Either way, it shows over $18 in lest than two months, and it is a pretty solid name, so shame on both of you for opening your mouths. You have no business jumping in.....I have never had anyone complain about any names I have sold here, and the number of names runs in the hundreds. Very unprofessional.

I guess I manufactured this info below. I also didn't accept the $750 price, which would only be about three years revenue.

Ok. Let me start by saying that WhoDatDog is probably not trying to pull a fast one and is only showing us exactly what GK is showing for stats.

However, let me also stats that these are in NO WAY direct type-in or real stats. GK stats are extremely inaccurate. I know for a fact.

I would suggest to test this name first on a webserver or use a reputable parking service for real stats before putting your reputation on the line for this one name.

I clearly pasted the info showing traffic from 25 to 2000 per day. So, its going to average somewhere in between that number. My reputation is not at risk if I sell a name for 2K or so that will make the buyer a few hundred dollars per year without even getting out of bed. I sell brandable names, and this name is worth $750 on a bad day. Also, if anyone wishes to suggest that I have ever manufactured a statistic then I will withdraw from this board forever if you even have the slightest proof. I have had three separate inquiries about this name, and at least one was not related to this post. I am letting someone test the traffic. I might not even let it go.....during the Holidays it heats up and will be like money in the bank.

I dont believe he was responding to a low appraisal.. it does look suspicious, so he will reply because of that reason alone. If you're selling something that may look suspicious, the best thing to do is comply with what is being suggested, especially by a Mod/Admin, instead of throwing out reasons why a person replied with what they did.

What could be more clear than my traffic and revenue stats? A three-year-old could see that the revenue is $18 for less than two months, and the traffic has varied wildly. What is suspicious about that? I never claimed any number of type-in traffic, but I bet the number is higher than you might believe. Two of it's better days click-wise were on December 24th and the
29th...I guess that was me doing the clicking?

The revenue has not increased with the traffic...did I hide that in any way? So what's it worth? Let's say the absolute worst-case scenario is that it makes $120 per year for doing nothing.....what's wrong with $750? I didn't even accept the $750, and you can verify that with the person who made the offer. I also received an unsolicited bid on Afternic today for the name, and it was double the minumum offer, which usually doesn't happen.

I have absolutely no problem with anyone calling me out on this name. That person's reputation will suffer; not mine.

It is suspicious that a domain has that much traffic then no traffic for 5 days.

That's not traffic gaps, that's revenue gaps. Gold Key would only show me the days where there was revenue.....those other days didn't result in any clicks.

I have someone else testing the name for a few days, as well as a presumably unrelated offer on Afternic, so this name is still up in the air. I have a reputation of sniffing out trouble makers. In fact about 90% of people who try and argue against me in cases like this end up getting banned.

Maybe I was a little too harsh - I wasn't trying to imply you are a scammer or con-artist, but the statistics are certainly pretty odd. I would agree you should park the name with another service (maybe domainsponsor.com) for a week or two, as buyers will be more interested if they see stats that are more accurate.

I have been on this site buying names for over six months. I have never had anyone complain about any transaction with me....in public or private, and the total amounts are in the tens of thousands of dollars. The name obviously doesn't convert a tremendous amount, but everything was in the open. I could probably sell it for more if it showed 30 hits per day. 99.9 percent of my names are brandable names, and if this name had close to zero traffic then it could still catch a grand or two and be a legitmate site. If I was trying to play with the stats you would think I would be able to come up with a few more clicks before I delivered the name, but I showed everything I had......someone made me an official offer on Afternic as well, and I relied on the $750 offer when I responded to them.

It doesn't matter much either way as I am on record as stating that anyone who sells revenue names for under 15 years revenue is a fool. Once in a while I would like to raise some money with a name that I would otherwise keep forever, and I might have been able to do that if people would have taken a deep breath before ringing the alarm.

At the end of the day I know it will make over $100 per year forever, it is brandable, and some people are clicking when they get there......worse names sell for 5K every day of the week.

As I said, I don't think you are trying to scam anyone, but with barely any links and no OVT results, I just can't see how this domain is getting 2000 visits per day...and its even harder for me to see how this trend would continue "forever".
