usually japanese people do not type in Japanese using the English letters. theyd rather type in the search engine. Domain buying and selling are not that hot as they are elsewhere. this is a cultural thing. To buy some domain and make money from it is usually known as being dirty.
I have bought similar domains (still do as some addiction) but traffic rarely comes in. If the domain is short and abbreviated in simple English alphabet, then thats different. Surely "airport" would make a lot of hits, but it being in Japanese, especially with the double "uu", Japanese would rather type in "airport".
Sorry to burst your bubble with this, but just trying to help out on this. yet again, there is always something that i dont know...
