Country: | Advice wanted on Register.com problem I need to get in touch with Register.com about a domain name registered with them, but each time I come to the top of the live chat queue I find the chat has been cancelled. I have sent them two messages now and received their automatic response that they will be in touch within 48 hours but have heard nothing. Does anyone know how I can handle this? Living in Ireland, I don't want to go to the expense of calling them by phone. The domain name needs to have its DNS changed so the site built for it can be published, but the password has been forgotten (not by me, I hasten to add - I have all my passwords safe offline). Also, an email address for the name has changed since registration so that clicking forgotten password is not an option. If anyone can make any useful suggestion I will be very much obliged.

| Platinum Lifetime Member | Have you thought about using skype to call them since it is usually dirt cheap? Try their twitter account: http://twitter.com/Register_com

Country: | No, Auraka, I hadn't thought of that. I am on Skype. Thanks for that brilliant idea. I'll give it a go if I don't hear from them by their morning (it's almost 10:30pm Sunday night here in Ireland). Also the twitter idea. I'll post how I get on - thanks again for the response!

Country: | I don't think it's toll free from Ireland, though. Those special numbers are usually for their own country.
