Unless the "real" .com site gets millions of type-ins it really is not worth it..trust me.

It doesn't mention that in the FAQ's.
Also since there is no fee from namejet and only the reg. fee the registrar can't make me buy anything. They would simply put it back into circulation.

Some are very high traffic com's so not sure how many I will take if any.

I personally did alot of research based on what I was willing to spend $300 on and guarantee myself traffic. Every name I put into the auction queue was rejected - we're not talking about TM domains. Basically as far as I can tell, anything with real solid traffic wasn't for sale in the great CM landrush.

Youporn.cm, Pornhub.cm will get a decent amount of traffic and it were available during landrush.

well I won a bunch if "win" is the right term.
Jewelry was one and a bunch like it but not sure if it is worth paying the $350 for it or not. I might buy 15 or 20 but at this point I am busy as hell with other stuff and not sure If I really wt to spend the dough.

As far as I understand, domains that went to auction will be added to the zone file only after Sep 14th. - my guess is that all the major auctions end at this date...

I bought quite a few .CM domains, some didn't go to an auction and others went. Those which didn't go are already in the zone file so I can create a CNAME dns entry and point them to my parking service.

domains from the auction will be added to the zone, once enom confirms to netcom that the buyer has paid.

Stefan, do you know if the prices are going to drop on .cm domains in the future? If so, to what amount?

By the time prices go "down" the majority if not all the names with any signifigant traffic will be long gone imo...pay less = get way less

I do know of some .cm names that get hundreds and hundreds of hits per day each...but I'm not telling which ones

lol Stefan

I bought a name and tried to update the nameservers and received this error.

Expiration: 9/1/2011
Access Control Violation - DNS Changes not allowed

I thought they would not go live until early 2010 anyways

Well, you can't change the DNS servers, however, you can keep using eNom's inhouse DNS and just set a CNAME entry to point it to your preferred parking service.

Note though that, as pointed above, if this domain was won on an auction it is probably still not in the CM zone file.
