Lightbulb How to advertise domains for sale free

Hello,

I'm an experienced domain re-seller. I know that it's very difficult to sell names via listings services (GreatDomains. Afternic, etc.).

I prefer to send emails direct to potential buyers. Of course, it's no so easy to find addresess of domain buyers.

But I've found a direct email service at
http://www.AllForDomains.com/email.htm

They have a free trial option and you can send your names free.

This service works for me.

If you know any other useful resources just drop me a link.

I think we must exchange information about sites that can help us to sell domains.

Mark

This is spam

This is spam.

Now this may be fine, but I have found that allfordomains/softforces has been one of the biggest "I tried this service and it works" type spammers in this business. For years now, they post these type of messages all over the place, including boards and newsgroups.

I personally think that if they dropped the b.s. disguise and just said: "This is my service and it might help you" they'd get a better reception.

Of course, they'd also probably get deleted for...spamming!

If you want to advertise your names for sale, the best way to do it is have your own FOR SALE page.

And your whois should indicate that the name is for sale most buyers will click on the name and go to the whois to see what it does and who owns it.

Sales sites like AN & GD are almost useless these days if your name points to any of them the potential buyer has to many choices and will look at the other names listed and possibly find that the .net or whatever is available for registration.

I received an email yesterday from a guy who told me to

"Give up your Domain Classifieds. They suck, and no one will ever pay to use Domain Classifieds again."

I though this interesting, since we decided to put up domain classifieds as a free service for anyone wanting to sell domains. Now I have to admit, we have not advertised this, and there are not many domains listed, but we have no plans to charge - ever - and will simply provide the web space and service if people want to use it. No harm. No foul.

When I answered with basically this same message, he told me to F-off. Nice guy.

I´ve used AllForDomains email marketing, and I know a lot of people that were using it too... it never worked.

Most of the "potential buyers" contact you (From free email accounts) only to always ask for a "Allfordomain.com Professional Appraisal"...

I can´t say it is SCAM, because it may be only a particular case. I can tell by my experience that their service only works for keep asking you for money, and more money and guess what; their "costumers" only want "Allfordomains Appraisals".

I´ve paid for their appraisals, to test if all the process really works. But after givin´ the info to the interested people (like 8 of them contacted me) they all reply the same thin "I will talk to my partner and let you know". Of course, they never want your domain after you give the appraisal. Mission completed?

Maybe it works for others, maybe a lot of people sell their domain names on that "great service", but, well, this is my experience.

Last week I talked with an ebayer that bought a domain name from me. I ask if he know that service; he told me the same history.

Interesting huh?

This is 100% spam.He didn't even try to make an effort to use a different language than this pseudo-personalized type of promo language within the average 60 porn/mortgage/mlm spam emails i daily receive.

When someone comes to board makes a single post saying how another company is great and then listing a spec of the site - its spam no matter which way you slice it.

This technique is in chapter 1 of "marketing the muppet way".

Unhappy

Allfordomains.com is not a trustworthy site. I am doubtful about any info displayed on their site.

If you try their free e-mail marketing, a few things will happen
(FYI, I had tried it three times):

1. You will get 2 to 3 offers from different anonymous/free e-mails on 1st or 2nd day.

2. Most of them will throw you a good offer, but then they
disappear and never reply your email.

3. The so-called buyers will ask for domain appraisal. They will say they only trust appraisal service from Greatdomains.com premium service (very expensive) or allfordomains.com (very cheap). Of course the domain sellers will try to get the cheap one.

4. You would notice that they use the name AllForDomains.com, instead of allfordomains.com (all lower case) as if they are the staffs from there.

5. You will be over-excited by the responses you get and think that their e-mail marketing works, then try to buy their paid services.

I might be wrong, but I am almost sure that my assumptions are true. Anyway, beware!!!

It's easy to advertise domain names for free. Join the forum and advertise in the for sale section and put a "this domain for sale" line in your sig on every forum/email/newsgroup transaction you do, cause that way it not only gets you to potential buyers it also increases your traffic from the curious.
Kind of like a domain for sale thread where 3 days later the seller notices that type ins have increased 10 fold and the price is being upped self fulfilling prophecy and all that.

I spent (actually threw down the drain) $295 so that these guys could send my email to 9000 potential domain buyers.

I have NOT been able to sell a single domain. Of course I was asked for appraisals by the same guys. If this is not a scam ,
what is the defination of scam ?

These guys go with the name AllForDomains.com and
EveryDayIncome.com . Beware .

Man it pays to come to these forums!!
Thanks guys,
I too just tried their FREE email service, and recived
Three responses. One guy said he was on vacation in Miami, and offered me $300 for expresshosts.com, and he said he would get back to me (Yesterday)...but so far NO reply.
The other two responses were EXACTLY like the email's you guys are describing.
I own 13 domains, all similar quality to expresshosts.com, but have only been buying up till now, does anyone have a good they would recomend to sell domains that they TRUST?
Thanks.

I have a couple of my names on your site and noticed when I do a search in Yahoo or google, they come up on second or third page which I feel is a good thing, I havent notice this with any other domain brokers.... I also like the idea that you can list your website... if you do a search on "buying shares" in yahoo it comes up on second page number 26.... ok its not first page ranking but isnt this still good? I guess thats why I have received emails from people...

....As for AllForDomains, I used their free trial... and got all excited when someone offered to buy buying-shares.com and BizUnit.com, but only if I got a Great Domains appraisal, I fell for the trick and and wasted $200....I chased the guy up but never any response, and I got another email from some lady saying her husband is interested but he was on holiday.....never heard a thing back, I queried my suspicions with AllForDomains and they threatened me with Lawyers and saying I was deliberately trying to damage their reputation!! I was just a customer querying the goods!!...... You live and you learn.......
