What makes a four letter domain great?

What makes a four letter domain great?

Why are all of the four letter dot com domains with a three letter word like car in it gone? (ie. acar.com - zcar.com and cara.com - carz.com)

It is the same with all four letter dot com domains with sex or xxxx.

What do you do with a four letter name with a three letter word in it?

Thanks

it is evidence that there are a lot of people who don't really understand domain values out there.

of course, probably everyone here went through that stage early in their experiences as well.

so I am revising the above theory. it is evidence that everyone buys crap domains for a while before harsh experience teaches them that they are worthless

When I started buying domains it used to be $35 per year - and I registered some really lousy ones each for 2 years . Then the reality hit hard and experience told me what was good. Life is like that. You learn from mistakes - yours or others' .

I guess I own all of the mistakes other people made.

I don't know what I was thinking when I registered ZenCar.com

And, that is "6" letters!!!

I still make mistakes everyday. That is what happens when you make decisions. Sometimes you are wrong.

I agree with UrlTrader. It was an expensive time to learn from your errors at $ 70. at a crack.

I started out paying a mere $8.95 for my errors ;-)

One of my four letter errors was vTao.com - come on - Virtual Tao - must be worth $100s!

Yes. It was expensive. But I was able to get names such as DNAmap.com , GeneticLab.com , GeneticEngineer.com , Patiala.com at that time. Not a losing proposition at all. :-D
