Will you consider to register a .com domain for $7 say but you have to deposit $100 to the account say?

If a reseller, I think it is standard for enom resellers.

why would i when there are thousands of registrars who don't require that.

the advantage is ...having money already in your account to renew domains, rather than having to login and renew each time.

of course some other registrars do allow for "automated" renewals if you enter a cc or pp address.

Most Directi accounts allow you this option of funding your account.

If Directi resellers, be careful. I (and many others) have had issues with some Directi resellers, most notably (for me) Answerable.
