45 Domains - Need Ideas

Hey Everyone,

I currently have 45 domains and am really new to the whole domain money making ideas. I purchased domains based on the my one preference of how it sounds and its creativity. I'm by no means an expert and would love to really learn how to get some sort of ROI on my domain names. I am also willing to work on ideas with partners who have great concepts.

This whole weekend I've just started to learn about Adsense and that concept of making money and it seems really interesting. Also I just bought a membership site from eBay which I'm going to probably hear was a very bad idea but like I said I'm new and willing to really learn if anyone has the patience and desire to mentor.

Well, I see you have them parked with sedo. Are any of them getting any traffic?

Actually I just found out about sedo from this forum and created an account today so there are no available stats as of now.

make sure you use the "optimization" at sedo and request keywords that you think your domain relates to, or they will just go to a general links page and you will get very low clickrate with just the general page.

I noticed that sedo can take care of the keywords. Is it best to leave it up to them or should I enter my own keywords? Thanks for all the help guys!

I have found that letting sedo keyword optimize your parked domains can be sub-optimal at times, as many of my names get defaulted to displaying 'dating' links - despite clearly having no connection to dating. (I'm assuming sedo uses 'dating' as a default b/c THEY get maximum profit per click - not so much that YOU get max. profit per click - but just a theory.)

I would suggest, after allowing sedo to keyword optimize your domains upon first parking your names, you go back and review their settings (Domain Parking/Optimization) - making necessary changes where you see fit to insert a better, more targeted keyword/s for your domain/s.

Ex: With a parked Place name, 'Dating' isn't always the best Keyword, rather, for example, the name of the Place.

In time, your tracking of results will ultimately show whether sedo's defaults gain you quicker ROI (Return on Investment) or whether your choices do.
(i.e.: Before vs After re: Higher Click-thru rate + higher pay rate per click)
Please note, while sedo ppc is 1 way to regain your investment dollars, it's obviously not the only way - and arguably not the best way either, unless your sell your name for a profit - which is half the reason why it's parked there in the first place I spose.)

short of devopling names, i would suggest using overture to reg names with traffic, and also easy to remmember names, and terms people regurally search for, good luck
