    Adding an RSS feed to wordpress

    Hi I have recently downloaded wordpress and I'm making my site www.teachjapanforum.com I have been successful in adding some RSS feeds to the site but can't get my head around how to add a feed when they provide a download file. I was able to add the feed when they gave me the url and I just added the plugin and directed it. But when a site offers a downloaded feed obviously i have to upload this on my server but then what? Do I have to change this file in anyway? Hope this all makes sense. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
