    Addon domains

    Hi,

Can someone explain what are addon domains? I did a search on Google and found that they are domains that point to a subfolder in your Hosting account.

Now, I want to know if the visitor actually sees that he's being pointed to a subfolder or that it just looks like a domain/website with "it's own hosting account"? (I don't want domain A to be a frame that points to a subfolder of website B)

    Thanks,

    spietreser

    is it subdomain ?
If yes you can set this as a domain with separate Hosting account.
I can provide you this feature if you want it.

addon domains basically adding a new domain name in ur account.

ex. if you have seforum.com your home directory will be /home/username/public_html/

now if u wana add another domain name using an addon feature, for ex. tangeman.net. your home directory will be /home/username/public_html/tangeman/.

you are not being pointed to the tangeman subfolder. tangeman directory will act as a virtual directory. you can create as many domain names as you want using the addon feature.

IF it really an add-on domain (ie in cPanel) it just looks like a domain/website with "it's own Hosting account" yes! (domain Add-on is NOT a frame that points to a subfolder of website MAIN)

It is like hosting multiple domains other than the directory structure (which is invisible to your visitors)
NameHoarder.com -yes I am one! "I can't stop registering them!" UGH!
