The ones making the money are the ones charging for the sites.
While domainers pay for services with no guarantee of recouping their costs, learning basic skills for developing is cost free and priceless.
I see tons of "mini" sites out there that are nothing more than modified templates yet the peeps making the sites call them custom.
The advantages of learning these basic skills (joomla, wordpress) are endless. Not to mention if you have a horde of domains, you can create your own network of sites linking to each other.
AEIOU....wasn't blasting....I see/saw their work...not for me...maybe for others...Rick did it right.....outsourcing everything....realized it became a pain in the ass dealing with cheap domainers......and closed shop....now...on the other hand...Mikey boy from WannaDevelop......he will talk the talk all day long......but will never walk the walk...meaning...putting his money where his mouth is....he has never shown sample work of his "Mona Lisa" website design capabilities that he talks sh*t about....never backs up any of these claims to all this monetization millions that he claims he generates....etc....he is just one big "talker"....that any moron can do here......and about the phone call.....it was a Saturday....and you were on your way to CT for a wedding with a group of others in the car.....remember now??...![]()

Back to the topic....
I liked aeiou's sites, and thought they served their purpose.
I haven't used them, but thought about it. minisites.com looks comparable though...
Amen....Finito....End of story.
You either get it...or you don't.
It's simple to understand...it is well written....it's in English....and foreign translations can...and will be made available.

AEIOU had NO CLUE. I dont care what anyone posts on here. I dealt with them and its absolutely NO SURPRISE at all that they quit doing it.
They made promises they could not keep for 2 months...2 MONTHS!!!
That is pathetic and all RL could say was he didnt need the stress.
Well MR Latona, then get competant people to run it, because the developer you had was and is a total bonehead. Thats a fact...
The reason they are out is simple, they stunk at it, made claims they couldnt back up and not once apologized for wasting my time.
Good Luck Mr Bigshot and good riddance to you as far as I am concerned
Dont promise what you cant deliver!
Cheap Labor = Cheap Websites = Unhappy Clients = Out Of Business
I've been reading through this thread to see if I can pick up some useful information from old hands, and I'm beginning to wonder what all the fuss was about the political thread. This one is supposed to be about business and it's like a lot of little boys squabbling over marbles in the schoolyard. Well, OK, I'm showing my age now, I suppose. Over Pokemon cards, then, or whatever the latest trend is.
But, going on what I've read on the forum since I joined, you guys are all great guys and know your business, obviously some more than others in particular areas, which is only natural. I don't think it matters what pic or avatar is used on a forum - it's surely understood that it's only a representation of someone. And I thought that the mini-sites Elliot pointed to were quite good, if very similar as Acro said.
But then I'm just a newbie, and probably never going to be much more, and so I maybe represent how things look like from an outsider's point of view.

Do we need a reminder of the rules?
This is not the place to promote your own services - we've had a few people doing this here.15. Do not promote or link to your websites, domains, blog, company, or services in any of the discussion forums. This includes starting a thread, or replying to a post. If a member is seeking assistance or looking for a certain type of product, the best way to offer your services is to send a PM, unless the thread has been created in one of the Advertising forums (or Help Wanted), where you then may reply to a post with a self-promotion. For the rules related to signatures, refer to #19 and #20.
6 pages of unrelated posts have been deleted. Please stay on topic.
