I'd say the rank is at least partially due to the links pointing at him. He uses a lot of text too.

site:.us -dscsidwnmdasjnasaijrkfdsdsn
That is amazing, and what in the world does that odd url mean which Izopod knows about?
Even more amazing is how the url 'trading-system.us' is ranked #1 out of 7,190,000 pages, when it has no keywords, description and other meta tags, and incredibly even a NOARCHIVE tag! How in the world did it get ranked #1 or am I missing something?
<HTML><HEAD><TITLE>The Trading System</TITLE>
<META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=windows-1252">
<META NAME="robots" CONTENT="noarchive">
Searched the web for site:.us -dscsidwnmdasjnasaijrkfdsdsn . Results 1 - 10 of about 7,190,000. Search took 0.15 seconds. The Trading System - Discover Experienced Traders Secret Strategies & Profit From Penny Stock Trading! The Penny Stock Trading System By Donny Lowy This. www.trading-system.us/
Anyone here know how that is ranked #1 as I have some similiar .us ext trading names I want ranked #1 too!

I think the no archive meta command just prevents the article from being archived in usenet groups (google groups).
Maybe someone more knowlegeable could speak on this.

Also, I don't think google gives much weight to metatags.
Google mainly looks at link pop and text.
nevermind![]()
Google does not use meta tag keywords or descriptions when ranking sites as far as I know. There algo is quite sophisticated and takes into consideration link pop, content etc.

Also, what is that odd google url all about?
eAmerican.us is ranked #1 in google ck it out http://www.google.us just type eAmerican.
US is smoking

Sorry, don't want to rain on your parade but I think the answer to your name being #-1 is you name resolves to a website whereas the eamerican.com does not and also the name is an exact match of a little-known term., only 180 matches for it, very small by google standards.Originally posted by zouzas eAmerican.us is ranked #1 in google ck it out http://www.google.us just type eAmerican.US is smoking![]()
It also ranks #-1 on google.com. In fact, every search I have done the results are same as .us, contrarily to what some have claimed.
ok ok how about http://www.thenews.us is ranked in top 20 in http://www.google.us out of 77 thousand its only been live for a few weeks as with my other sites,, isn;t exact name word sites what its all about?![]()
Not al all disagreeing with you ZouzasOriginally posted by zouzas ok ok how about http://www.thenews.us is ranked in top 20 in http://www.google.us out of 77 thousand its only been live for a few weeks as with my other sites,, isn;t exact name word sites what its all about?![]()
In fact, contrarily I agree with it regarding the great value of the word(s).
I have been talking about that issue for ages, especially regarding Google using the URL itself, and its word(s) to Word Parse its results and assign extra ranking value based on it.
Some have always argued it is either not so or very minor and I have always said the opposite. Your 2 examples are proving the value, especially regarding the url words.
Here is a good example "convention centers "Originally posted by zouzas

Re: "RealNames that URL address for site: search is common knowledge.. " duhbut some of the less experienced or new members are not aware of that and even some experienced ones at both the forums here have argued against it being so in the past.
I also have a number of sites where it seems to have oddly made no difference in my rankings though they are exact matches with the url. With others it seems to make a difference, who knows why it is not consistent?
