    any feedback on vbulletin 4.0?

I got an email from vbulletin for purchase of the new 4.0 vbulletin for $130. Is this a good one compared to 3.8.x? Any comments?

The email said that I need to make a decision before the end of the month.

Take a look at the new features and security updates with vBulletin 4.0. If they aren't necessary with your current application, why upgrade?

I have Windows Vista and it works for what I do. Why am I going to spend 2 hours of my time updating to 7 and another $130? I already made that mistake hopping on the bandwagon and upgrading to Vista from XP...

Now I re-read the email, "As a preferred customer with an active license, we are excited to offer the vBulletin Publishing Suite at a pre-sale discount price of only $130 (over 50% off regular price). This is a truly limited one-time special offer giving you $120 off the upgrade price but will expire on Friday October 30, 2009."

is this an offer of a separate new license or is it simply a UPGRADE to Publishing Suite (meaning I will lose my old 3.8.x license after the upgrade). The email is not very clear.
