Best Community Script around - DNForum - Domain Sales, Domain Forum, Domain Appraisals, Domain Registrars

Hi guys,
I was wondering what is the best community script around?
I am looking for one and I am willing to pay for it if it has great features.
Looking for (not only) Internal Mails, Chat, Whos Online, and all the other stuff a community script should have!
Hope I get a lot of input from ya'll as I am new to this field!

I personally like Dolphin Smart Community Builder.

Recently Joomla and Drupal are also considered a good script for making a social networking website - but needed to add many plugins/modules according to what you want.

Dolphin is nice yes.
Joomlapolis (free joomla mod) is pretty good and flexible as well but takes a lot of time to set up the way you like it.

for Dolphin, many additional modifications, templates available and you can easily find someone on expertzzz.com who will modify it for you very cheap.

i have dolphin set up for a client- it's a pretty robust script - has video chat and Instant messenger too. cupid mail - it's pretty cool. A little buggy - but nothing unfixable

Joomla is a good cms it's a free software and you can customize it. You just need to know it or hire someone to manage it for you.

You are right. For Joomla 1.0.3 there plenty of extensions. However, for Jommla 1.5 we need to wait for a while - not many extensions so far

Is a pretty good community script. I think there is another one called PHPFox if I remember, not sure how good that is tho.

oh,

Welp...I got a web hosting company and host a bunch..a few hundred communicty/youtube/dating sites.....so I get to see what other people are using.

most popular is Ablsoft..makers of abledating and stuff like that

my opinion..meh..it's ok..do what you need it to do and has decent features.

next is Dolphin...made by Boonex..not bad..better if you are a tech person because support is slow, but tons of features..if you got a programmer on hand..you can rid the thing of bugs and have a killer site.

After is social engine..if you are a non-tech.savvy person..this is the way to go..less features, but still does what you need..chat and video etc..you don't need everything..some tines simple is good.

My favourites because of opensource are elgg.org and ringsidenetworks.org

try those..not bad too!

Don't use Dolphin - you will regret it after.

Each , even small ugrade/update will screw your site, you need to spend
alot to get it tweaked and it's why it has alot of bugs initially - just to force
you to buy their "support" service.
