Profoundly influenced by #Bauhaus, @Nameslave unrepentantly embraces #Minimalism in his #multimedia portfolio. His early works include an experimental adaptation of Chekhov’s Cherry Orchard inspired at least partly by Robert Fripp. His totally irrelevant M.Ed. dissertation examines Organizational Culture and Change Management.
Looks like php then- How easy is it to learn? (I have never done any programming by the way).
definitely php. no doubt
This is THE ultimate page to get started, got me and alot of people I know into the good stuff:

Thanks Nameslave and Ice - appreciate your help.
I agree 99% with nameslave and ice, but ASP.Net utilizing VB.Net and Java utilizing JSP, Servlet, and EJB technology are both extremely powerful and have far better acceptance in the corporate world talking to Oracle and SQL server databases. Whereas PHP goes hand in hand with MySql and Postgres SQL, two databases yet unproven in LARGE scale applications.
That said, PHP is gaining steam in corporate america, is far easier to learn than ASP and JSP, and is the premier server-side scripting language for developing small scale data enabled sites. ... AND IT'S FREE!!!
Cheers!

speaking as a non-programmer, but someone who has commissioned programs to be written, php seems to be the way to go. I had two different programmers design different applications, and they both choses php. One even replaced an existing asp program.
I have no complaints, plus I despise microsoft.
PHP!
PHP!!!
i'd vote for php as you don't have to define any variables in there and in addition I believe its easier to learn than ASP.
I program PHP professionaly and I feel that its much more functional and easier to elarn than ASP
Good Luck!

ASP = active server pages..
Both PHP and ASP are too your advantage too learn.. go for it.
How about Cold Fusion?? I am confused by the same thing here as there are many paths that may be taken. Unfortunately, I'd like to learn ONE to get up and running!! PHP sounds like the way to go but I know someone who wrote a real nice Cold Fusion/ASP site (http://www.radioswapmeet.com) recently.
Thanks!

PHP, very expandable and quick. Can do anything others can do and better.
Best part is it's all free. Unlike setting up an NT box .... yuck.
