Blog & forum? Are you a nag?

Just a quick question. I am working on a new website which I have redone several times because I can not decide what to do with it. So heres the thing. The site will be based around mostly gossip.

I want it to be community based so the dilemia is:

Should I have a blog & forum or just a forum?

I'm not sure what really to put on the blog other than maybe TV Gossip or something I dunno I'm lost.

The website will be www.totalnag.com www.totalnag/forums

Are you a nag ? Do you get nagged? Tell us about it kinda thing. Is your husband getting on your nerves again? Mother in law being annoying?

Wierd idea?

HELP! Keep the blog and if so what would you put on it?

Or just the forum.

Blog about gossip and have the forums.

Expect to spend time talking to yourself before you start to have regular posters (I've done similar with a site and a year later traffic is starting to pick up on the forums). That is, if you don't pay for people to post on the forums.

I think a gossip site (and forum) will build up faster than my site - people love to gossip and they love gossip.

We shall see. I really need to concentrate on just one project. I have about a zillion ones started and need to be finished.

or maybe start outsourcing lol

Sounds like I am in the same boat - dozens of domains, dozens more ideas, and not enough time to do it. One at a time is the best way to do it, decide which would be the best one to do first (profit? Resell? Fun?) and do that, then work down the line.

Plus my darn ADHD creeps in and I get bored with one project so I go play LotRO. :(

I would keep it a blog. Forums require you to sign up and they don't typically make out well when using Adsense as a income source. Just make sure to keep it updated daily and it will work out nicely for you.

Color for nagging people should be blue or black.

Yes the pink has to stay. I am a pink person.

The site isn't meant to be really a negative place. Maybe a humor type thing. A place to vent. I'm not exactly which direction I want to go with it yet.
