counter site

Anybody know of a good counter site that offers stats that is free?
I was using Hitometer, but they are closing up shop 1st week of August.
I found www.sitemeter.com
Any else out there?

Secondly, I received an email today from some place called:

I don't know what they'd be like. I almost signed up but am not sure about them. They also have no "about us" on their site or even any further details you can click on to find out more information. Basically you have to sign up (free) but I didn't ... yet.

Webcounter.com we collect all the necessary statistics. We provide a simple hit counter up to a complex transparent web tracking system. We are unique in that if you use our banner counter you will get points each time your site is hit. Points are then good for traffic we can send you or cash. We also have a 5-tier affiliate program where you earn a percentage of points of those that you refer.

We also have a park page where you can redirect your domains to a park page and receive statistics and points. An example is www.dowels.com .

So the only way to have the free counter work is to park the names on your servers?
That won't work.

No, that is just one option. You can cut or copy the regular counter code into your source code of your page and receive statistics.

There arn't many FREE stats services that you can use on a commercial website, tracking muliple pages and referral urls. The best I've found is www.counted.com, its not perfect though.
