Development Ideas for CashCart.com?

Well, I was able to grab the domain CashCart.com off a friend for $15 (appraised in the forum for $500 +/-) and I'm wondering what I should do with this beauty.

So many variations.... Google results shows some wierd things. What should I develop it into? Maybe find a CJ affiliate and sell phone cards?

Anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

How much do you want to put into it? You can always do a secure service where someone would put money into an account at cashcart.com and then they can use that to pay for other things. Sort of like a "Secure Way To Buy Things Online"

Or

You could develope a way to make money on the internet with different ideas/opportunities and let them add them to their "Cash Cart"

Well, as a suggestion, you should certainly ask yourself what it SOUNDS like from the perspective of someone hearing the name for the first time, and work from there.

From my perspective, it appears to be a business that allows me to "shop" for "cash". At once this sounds outrageous, but there are many businesses models that have been built on the notion of doing odd yet inventive things with existing mechanisms. So, HOW would it be that someone visiting your website could shop... and put money in there pocket at the same time?

CONCEPT: Make Money as You Shop!

This is the next part. Affiliate programs have been hugely popular, and many have provided great ways for websites to make money, while directing people to their business. One thing a friend of mine did once (that I've seen more than a few times), is ask me to set up a store for him, so he can benefit by getting a discount on his own purchase.

CashCart.com could make this type of dynamic a reality for a wider audience. People set up a membership, and buy products through CashCart's dynamic affliate system. CashCart could sign up for a large number of merchant affiliate programs, and as members click to buy products through CashCart, CashCart can record its sales, and show the customer how much their CUT will be. Payouts can be arranged nicely.

Also, CashCart members can use CashCart's "revolutionary" search engine service to click through to all sorts of great services, and sign up. Next to EACH directory listing CashCart can list the amount the customer could get-BACK if they purchase products/services from that vendor.

CashCart could in effect PAY people to find and use great services. People could suggest new services to be added to CashCart everyday, and CashCart can track and report the pay-out. Meanwhile, CashCart allows members to monitor what they think their payouts will be, and CashCart will automate as much of it as possible.

One idea. Certainly seems compelling if I saw it somewhere. I'm sure someone is doing it already in some flavor. Beanz (now defunct) worked to do this, but nothing beats the allure of cold hard cash. Just make sure you have disclaimers for non-paying dead-beat affiliate programs and be as forthright with the membership as possible (have a forum).

Lots of footwork, but it might be a hit if you can find a software/interface/feedback model that works.

Start off small if you can. Consider even working exclusively with Amazon.com at first and add other merchants as the business proves itself. Look at the shop I set up for a pal of mine: http://www.liptunesmusic.com/cgi-bin/shop.cgi

All the data in the store is coming off of an XML feed Amazon has provided to affiliates. Raw data! People can surf Amazon directly from your website. Set up an interface that exploits it a little better... (allows quick entry of ISBN or whatever), and you're doing really well. Dealing with only ONE affiliate like Amazon might be all you really need anyway (they've certainly got enough products).

Here's the script already done (in perl):
http://www.absolutefreebies.com/dire...ucts-feed.html

I'm a php-head, so I would just translate that into PHP, and connect it with a MySQL backend membership script (for member preferences, etc). Promote it right, and you can work up the business plan for investors as you go. You could be the super-affiliate that shares profits with shoppers 50/50.

Compare the CashCart.com customer to the non-CashCart.com customer, and one will leave the store everytime with guaranteed money coming back to them. I'd certainly shop through you.

I'd give you about 1.5-2 mo. of development for version 1.

The marketeer in me feels bustling with
all sorts of outrageous claims...
  • "Make money while you shop!"
  • "Discounts never got much deeper than this!"
  • "Get rebates on EVERYTHING!"
  • "Shopping online has never been smarter!"
If you can aggregate other stores as well, you become a hub that serves the interests of the affiliate programs you're using even more.

Sounds like a business-opportunity site.

Find lots of business opportunities that are legitimate and offer affiliate programs. Make yourself a directory and sort business opportunities by categories. Should be fairly easy (technically speaking) and inexpensive to do, though it would require some time and research to gather a good bunch of biz-opps.

People are always looking to make money from home or on the internet.

Good luck.
