Do Auto-Updating Sites get Banned by Google?

I heard that auto-updating sites will eventually get banned by google; is this true? what is your experience?

It does make sense that google might do this; their ultimate goal is to create in software what we do as humans, to determine if a page is useful or not. If it is 'real' or not. Like a blog, it should be updated by a person so auto-updating seems like trying to get around the rule 'rules'....

    Does google ban auto-updating sites?

    auto updating sites... ??

sure, if your site updates every 5 mins with scrapped content, it will get banned... not because it gets automatically updated, but because of the various other reasons (mistakes)

google doesn't know your site is "auto updated" if you set cron to randomize with a custom setup... or every few days. they dont care how often sites are updated as long as the content is unique, they will love it... google, yahoo, msn, etc... they all love fresh and unique content... feed em lots of it, and they will reward you..... feed em crap, and yea... you know the drill. makes sense, i hope
