I am branching out into affiliate links and I am beginning to work on a site that features several products from 1 advertiser.
My question is do I need to have any sort of shopping cart script or anything like that.
I assume that my users can click on the product they want and be taken to the advertisers site to complete their order but what if they want to order 5 different products from my site that are all from that 1 advertiser? If they click on the 1 product they want and are taken to the advertisers site and then continue shopping at that site then I assume I will only receive commission for the 1 sale that I sent to them or would I receive commission on the whole order?
Any comments or suggestions are welcome as I am brand new to affiliates!
Thanks,
-$ideline
No, you don't need a shopping cart for affiliate sales. They will click on the product link and will usually be brought back to their site via your affiliate link code. You will only need a shopping cart if you are selling your own products or selling someone else products and having them dropshipped.
