Domainer.com gets fully functional web applications on your site, in your brand, in your domain, quickly and easily.
Currently, we offer 4 applications you can place on your site/domain:
- A search application using the Yahoo BOSS APIs
- A comparison shopping application using Shopping.com
- A news and topic search using the Daylife.com API
- A local classifieds search using the Oodle API
We need feedback on what applications we can develop next and how the overall system works.
If you sign up on our site, someone will be in touch to help activate your account. We're trying to keep the process of getting apps on your site as simple as we can:
- Create a "Skin" of your site
- Sign up for the appropriate developer API program (for example, get an Oodle API key here: - http://developer.oodle.com/request-api-key, or a Yahoo BOSS ID here - http://developer.yahoo.com/search/boss, or a Shopping.com partner account here - https://partners.shopping.com/app )
- configure your application
- preview your application
- Point a CName for the relevant subdomain of your site (eg. - shopping.yourdomain.com) to our servers.
Our "help" documentation is a little disorganized right now and we're still working on some tutorials. The most important thing to learn how to do is to create a "skin" for your existing site... We try to step you through that here: http://help.domainer.com/?p=179. Actually, any feedback on what really needs to go in the help documentation would be appreciated.
