dot US for Kids

when the release of .kids.us comes out i would think the names without the dot would have more value or more traffic from typeins when people forget to put in the dot so FunKids.us may get more traffic then Fun.kids.us ,where am i going wrong can someone explain,,,,,,i got a few dozen names like these and a site is being program now should be live in a month,,,,,,,

I'm working on the same thing. A while back, a few of us started to purchase some of these names. I still think we can pull something together where we support each other with links etc.

I think your names will certainly get some traffic, but more? "People" might forget the .dot but internet savy kids? You might be short changing them a bit. Time will tell.

Great idea, let me know when you are ready to launch such a service and I will participate.

I already have a number of good names like that and agree people will tend to type it in but forget the dot.

i registered some today but i can;t imagine a company spending big money on a site say for kid.kids.us when kidkids.us is taken???

It seems like a few people have had this idea. movieskids, funkids, cartoonskids toyskids, and even clotheskids

are already taken.

These names with two plurals normally wouldn't be registered.

kids learning tools.us
kids fun vacations.us
kids fun zone.us
kids md.us
kids dentistry.us
kids channel.us

KIDS.US is supposed to protect children, by offering them a totally kid safe environment, approved by the US gov't.

Registering domains that are designed to divert traffic away from the safe zone is not only unethical, but it may get you in trouble with the gov't.

Bad idea.
