What do I do with this gem? Some reason it got 3,000 uniques yesterday. Almost all type-ins.

I would do a blog that would have the feature "Dummy of the day" ...

Post some funny stuff about a dummy each day, range from celebrities to politicians, etc...

You could have people vote for the dummy of the week, month, year, etc...

Nice domain...

Develop a Flash/Java/etc application for people to crash test their favorite "dummy". Or pin the tail on the dummy. Whatever, just something to keep them on the site for awhile. Aim it at politicians, celebs, etc. Affiliate with stupid.com through cj, other comedy t-shirt sales, etc.

my first though is a site relating to ventriloquist

you could provide articles about famous ventriloquist's and their "dummies".

show the history of the "dummy, puppets and other characters" and provide some history on the subject.

i think it would make for a better business model because you could sell a variety of products including, toys, puppets, posters, movies, videos, etc.

my favorite dummy is the "crash test dummy"

there are plenty of images in google when you search 'ventriloquist'

100 ~ 150k can build such portal, not the "india style" ofcource.
than you have for 150k + domain price a standalone business, can sell user generated manuals there, first 2 pdf pages free of charge rest of pages = buy the full manual, commission basis for the manual writer
