excel help - how can I sort a list by length

I have a large list of names, all mixed up lengths.
I wish to open the list in excel, then sort the list of domains by length.
Have the 2 char domains at the top, followed by the three char, then 4 and so on and so forth.
    Could anyone give any clues?

Put the list in column A
In Column B Row 1 type =LEN(A1) This gives you the length of A1
Edit Fill down B1 down Column B so you have =LEN(A2) etc
Copy, paste special, Values only , Column B
    Highlight all
    Now, data sort

    Clears as mud?

    It's still useful though.
This isn't something that I would have thought to search for.
