    Post FTP question (really easy)

    So i'm a complete moron (not really) when it comes to FTPing and was wondering how to un-tar a file if I'm FTPing in to my Hosting ... is it possible?

    wouldn't the easiest way just be to untar it on your computer, and then upload the content?

    You will need shell access to your account.

    The command "tar -zxvf tarredfile.tar" will untar the file.
