A good video player that restricts downloads

Hello,
I need help finding and installing a good program/script that I can drop my videos in that will play my videos without allowing the viewers to download my videos. Any help?

Search for Youtube clones at HotScripts.com, you'll find plenty PHP scripts like MyPHPTube or Video Broadcast, etc. Never used any of them, so cannot recommend something particular.

BTW, there's no way to protect videos from being saved, as long as you allow people to watch it. If somebody is really interested to get a video, he will download it using either special tools or just forge a proper request to the server if he knows how to sniff it out.

just a theory here, but why don't u try ... encoding to FLV and using amazons s3 storage which allows for session tokens, lock u'r site down to member authentication then sniff the http headers to block the flv downloader apps / sites ... ?

another approach is to just suck it up that content will be downloaded and instead of wasting time otherwise just encode a promo / url as an overlay onto the video and treat it as a marketing expense

Any content that has a value will eventually be duplicated, no matter what type of content it is. Synapse has a great idea to encode a promo or overlay into the videos.
