I've had around 3000 pageviews this week, but only 7 clicks. The traffic is all genuine, 50% type-in, 40% from links on other sites and 10% search engine traffic.
Do any of you know a way to get better results? place the ads elsewhere/ different kind of ads etc at a filehost site?
Tim, these types of sites are getting pathetic CTR, however I would definitely implement a link unit between the "Photo & Doc upload" and the "Choose..." field. It is the 468x15 that should fit I believe.

I agree with tetrapak's assessment. Your adsense seems to be targeted properly, but you should have a block in the exact place the "Upload and share you file for free" sentence is. Also, I would suggest that you revert back to the default blue for the links in this case. Blended is good, but you should be trying to match your link colors, not the content color. You should see an increase in you CTR if you follow these suggestions. On a side note, I would probably play around a bit with the text color to produce a more actionable type appearance.
You could try a link unit at the top above the logo and 2 "large rectangle ads" (text) side by side below the logo.
I uploaded as a free member, just an image. Then proceeded to try and view it but couldnt. Does the site work for free members ?
I should also mention that the network solutions ad probably doesnt appeal to people looking for a free download.
You need ads that appeal to your visitors.
It's just a filehost, so you can download pics someone uploads, but not view them like imageshack.
I'm thinking to add that option, but I'm not a programmer..
I dont choose my ads btw - its just a google block.
I've had around 20k unique visits this week.. starting to take off.
Make the ad title colors blue, not too many people click on black.. especially that your other links are also blue.
