How to best build a site?

    Hello,

I'm looking for some advice with regards to my website - .org - I've developed it into a simple wordpress site.

    My traffic is below:

I had 283 visitors, 1124 page views, 933 spiders and 247 feeds in the month of June.

I have 166 visitors so far this month w/535 page views, 500 spiders and 37 feeds. According to StatPress Reloaded, a wordpress traffic plugin, I'm on target for 437 visitors, 1410 page views, 1318 spiders, and 97 feeds for the month of July.

It's number 6 on page 1 for new york city property on yahoo.

    - I've received 1 lead from the above traffic.

How can I capitalize best on the aforementioned traffic numbers? Is the current site I'm using doing justice or should I build a simple html site in dreamweaver? What's your opinion?

    Thanks,
    Quado

It looks like a decent small site. Your traffic volume isn't exactly voluminous. The .org probably isn't the best choice either but I am sure that you know that already. Your one real lead isn't probably all bad for a very specialized site. This isn't a site that I am going to go to for fun or general research.

    Thanks for the reply radioz.

Assuming you've developed sites before - what kinds of things do you think about with a developer's cap on in order to capitalize on traffic when selling a product? I know the clientele I'm aiming for needs fancy displays and the latest website attention grabbing innovations but are they worth paying for?

As a visitor when viewing the site what makes you stay? You said you wouldn't go for fun or general research so does fun and general research maintain a visitors interest?
