How best to develop Fonetico.com?

I am wanting your ideas on how to best develop the domain name Fonetico.com?

I was thinking maybe some type of portal, maybe a business portal, but i'd love to hear your ideas/views!

Does it have any meaning? in a language other than English maybe? If it's just the sound you're going by, then maybe a site about phonetics? or maybe a fonts affiliate site?

yeah it means phonetic in italian

umm, if it means phonetic (sp?) in italian, then perhaps the name would be a bigger success as a .it.

Personally, I wouldn't expend time or money into developing this domain, unless you have a particular edge or "in" with that market. i.e. you have "hooked on phonics" books stacked in a warehouse, and a couple of hundred classrooms loaded with students that are anxious to buy from YOU.

I would make this into a small niche content website explaning about how to pronounce words in Italian and/or Spanish. You can either research the area or just hire someone with some knowledge in the field to write the content for you. Check Wordtracker to see which phrases people are looking for and focus on those keywords. Put the website online, get some incoming links and once you begin to pick up traffic (as the search engines find you and slowly bring up your pages in the SERP's) you can make a couple of bucks a month from advertising.
