Register Today on DNForum IT'S FREE!I want to create a directory for a new site/project.
As an example, lets say it is art related.
The site would allow people to post works of art for sale by type, locations, etc.
The directory would be auto updating:
Impressionism (3)
Lithographs (7)
Modern (11)
Prints (6)
and so on.
Now, this would be a one time fee for people (say one buck) to post on the site.
But, when they post on my site there is a feed to Twitter (possibly other social networking sites) updating the listing.
While they post, the information is indexed for searches.
Say I want to search for George Bellows
The results would pop up for that name, who posted, and where the item is located.
I would also like to construct another directory for Art Brokers/Dealers.
This would be say a 5 or 10 buck fee.
The gallery, broker, dealers would
Art Brokers/Dealers.
And so on.
The biggest factor is this would need to be a searchable index.
For example, I want to search for
George Bellows -
The search results would bring up works for sale, etc based on the data entered by the users.
If someone has a pretty good grasp on the ideas I am trying to convey and can post examples in a PM (preferably of their work) I would like to look and discuss further.
Thank you in advance.
