Here's some info based on my experiences:

    - vcart (www.vcart.com) is pretty easy to set up (whether you have single items or are using a DB)

    - I have a ton of experience with authorize.net, they have their good points and their bad. The bad, most noteably, is that they occassionally change response codes without notifying you (we are/were a big reseller and we never got new response codes - we found out the hard way)

    - I hear (but haven't implemented myself) good things about pay flow pro

www.moneybookers.com and www.gamebookers.com are sister sites with offshore gambling origin. Managed and owned by russians. They would not tell you this.

I wouldn't know about that, I used them (albeit for small transactions - $10 - $30 and I had no problem with them, including fast support time)

On their site it says that they are
Moneybookers Ltd is registered in England and Wales under Company No 4260907. Registered under No 12115607 with HM Customs and Excise as a Money Service Business. Registered office: 18 Bedford Row, London WC1R 4EB.
I believe England has strict rules about online betting, even setting up huge sums upfront just to get a license, if someone from U.K. could check if they are registered there, it would clear some things up...

Either way, it should be better than some company run from offshore. (Antigua, Costa Rica etc..)

As I said, I am still testing them...

    More info on them:

    Unhappy Can somebody help me?

I have a pending $150 transaction, which the buyer is from Germany. He doesn't have a PayPal account, so I asked him to sign up for one. But for international users, PayPal requires the user to enter a code from his credit card statement for verification, which is a few weeks away for him.

I don't have a credit card merchart account, and it probably don't worth the hassles for a single transaction. Anybody have suggestions here??

Sorry I forgot to mention I'm also an international user (Hong Kong). My bank charges me HKD$50 (or US$6.5) for receiving every wire transfer plus the forex rates. I believe the buyer need to pay similar fees too. The total fees might be around 15% of the deal .

Actually I'm looking for more innovative ideas. For example, if it is possible to deposit funds and transfer between Enom accounts, etc. Also, if any member can accept CC and pay me by PayPal, I'll pay a commission of $10 (US$ not DNF$ ).

Thanks for the suggestion. For a $150 deal, I don't prefer wire transfer because of the extra costs. Maybe for a $500 deal, I would do that.

Another idea is if any member from Germany with PayPal, I can ask the buyer to deposit to a German bank account, and the member can pay me by PayPal. Anyway, I emailed the buyer and we agreed to wait for 3 weeks...

As it's a bit off topic, please PM or email me if you'd like to help. I'm fine if nobody offer help, cause this sounds like the Nigerian scam and too much trouble.

I use CCNow. No set-up fee, good record-keeping and prompt processing. They can get you online in minutes.

However, they do take around 9% of the sale and, if you have a question, be prepared to wait a long time for the answer.

Does anyone have any experience setting up automated CC processing using PHP/MySQL?

I need an instant "approved" or "declined" response so I can update my members accounts in real time.

I have got this working with PayPal, but PayPal is hopeless if you don't already have an account - the time to get that auth code in your CC statement can take a couple of weeks. I'm targetting spur-of-the-moment purchases...

    Thanks,

    Chris
