Are the feeds automated or do they need to be updated as the site is updated (seperately?)?
What else?
Maybe I should go to WW and ask there...![]()

OK, has anyone found a hack for phpBB that allows you to import an RSS feed into a forum?
For example:
Import from SiteA, SiteB, SiteC into category A
Import from SiteD, SiteE into category B
etc..?
I found one, but I had to install SMF.
It's working great now and I wish I found SMF earlier, pretty good free forum SW.

If you have some coding experience, here's an easily integrated and customizable method to incorporate RSS feeds into sites:
1.) download and become familiar with RSS Fetch (I believe you can find it at neoprogrammers.com or hotscripts.com)
2.) use an app like RssFeedster.com to generate Yahoo, Google, or MSN feeds based on desired keywords
3.) copy RSS feed URLs from RSSFeedster into the line of code in your webpages and you're good to go
Invision Power Board (IPB), MyBB and SMF all have RSS import systems that work reasonably well....
It depends more on your ability to create good RSS feeds from the source site(s).

I don't have much coding experience but I did find SMF yesterday. It took a little getting used to (my first non-phpBB board) but I really like the interface now, fast and easy mod installation, too!
It's imported the feeds nicely, so hopefully I can stick with this one.

To make RSS feed is a little bit complex process. Today on internet there are sharing lots of content. The RSS is useful for content aggregation. It is also useful for content syndication. So RSS become standard for content syndication and aggregation. So when you want to make your content competitive and increase publicity of your site, the RSS feed is best way.
