How recently did you change the nameservers on this domain?

Sometimes the www doesnt work for a while because the Dns settings havent refreshed.

to my knowledge a subdomain does not use a www. in front of it. For reference look at Yahoo.com's setup. All of their services use subdomains, such as Home.Yahoo.com, Shopping.Yahoo.com, RealEstate.Yahoo.com, etc...

Well, you really *shouldn't* do it imho, but it can be done easily enough.

Check www.nhc.noaa.gov - for years they ahve had it like this for some reason. http://nhc.noaa.gov does not resolve. Go figure.. Your tax dollars at work.

Didn't know it could be done, hmmm. Seems like the www. is a subdomain of the subdomain. makes it very weird, but I guess it might have its purpose.

Spry, hostgator, and our Hosting does this automatically. You set up a sub-domain and it is available both with and without www prefix. I am sure there are others but you will need to check with them.

www would be a sub domain to sub-domain. Add www.sub-domain to the DNS as a CNAME to sub-domain.
