How to monetize traffic (6,000 views/month)

Hi all,
Wondering what is the best way to monetize traffic to one of my developed websites. It is an information/entertainment website that has about 4,500 unique users per month and around 6,000 visits overall.

I've tried adbrite, but their CPM rate is bad, I've also tried amazon associates, and I've had around 90 clicks on these links per month, but no real money out of these! (and i keep getting rejected for adsense signup for some reason!)

All traffic is from UK and USA, and I know there is some way that I can get a lot more money from this traffic.

Is it a targeted/specific name because 90 clicks out of 4500 uniques is horrible? Is it direct type in or search engine traffic? I'm just going to guess it's search engine traffic which may knock out the idea of parking.

1. Find out the referrers and keywords people are coming from so you know what their looking for.

2. Try to get their contact information. Have a questionaire on the site and ask them what they came to your site looking for. Offer them a little something for filling out the form.

I highly recommend you capture your visitors, use Aweber or GetResponse, both are excellent:

The beauty with your list is that it gives you "traffic-on-demand" and if one day God-forbid your traffic source dies you will still have your list.

4500 visitors per month doesn't seem like a lot of people. I use google analytics for traffic monitor. You can try to optimize your web site all you want for best converstion but you still need to get more people to your site.

I have 500,000 uv per month on mine and it's hard enough with that amount never mind 4.5k,you need to draw more quality traffic to make it pay imho.

it's a twitter related domain, so can anyone recommend any websites to get more twitter followers, twitter user mailing lists etc?

traffic has increased to around 6k uv, but my aim is for at least 50k uv per month by december.

if anyone can help, or has any other suggestions, PM me.
