How would you develop a .tv web site?

Would it be a major mistake if the site only had photos? What if it had 10-15 two minute videos on it?

What do you think of when you see the .tv extension? What are your expectations of the site?

LOL - Another fear-mongerer - .tv will be fine.

I would suggest getting something like a Video/Social Media script and make it into a media rich site where others can join in. ex: some scripts have ad-sense rev share which would entice others to add their content while making you and the user $

...or use the enom .tv platform to make a Media sharing site.

I do believe ppl expect video moreso with .tv so I would use vids n pics.

While it might be intuitive that .TV should be for video sites, it has several other connotations - when uses in TV adverts the content of the site is often not video, but rather the .TV is used to either track the visitors coming from TV adverts or to add legitimacy to a domain - so a viewer will think "this site has a .tv, therefore it has TV adverts, therefore it is more likely to be trustworthy". Another connotation is that the content is about TV - in the case of the celebrity site above this would make perfect sense, even if the site did not contain much, if any, video. Further several sites have nothing to do with video or televisions (or a Pacific island nation) whatsoever - for example discountcodes.tv.
