Talking I need some Joomla help...

What do I have to do to eliminate these distracting hoover over boxes on linked items.

See this page and notice the green box around the top and bottom ads/links.

    http://ceuq.com/index.php?option=com...=89&Itemid=215

Having this color and mouse over feature is great for text.

    But I really hate this.

    Same with StonesMusic.com.

Here every link has a red box.

I am remotely familiar with how to access the site template CSS and/or HTML files.

But I do not want to screw things up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

try to change this top menu image backround:
    http://ceuq.com/templates/impact2/images/topmenu.jpg
with another one with preferred colour with same size and name. Upload it with an ftp client to path:
/templates/impact2/ overwrite and then refresh your website and see the change

    Same for bottom image backround:
    http://ceuq.com/templates/impact2/images/footer.jpg

I suggest backing up your template folder before doing anything further

Nothing wrong with experimenting, just remeber keep a copy of the original. I usually call them file Old.php. You can do this off-line through Linux.

See this page and notice the green box around the top and bottom ads/links.
The ones on the left. I assume you need to change the .css, or a javascript file or routine. If you can't figure it out yourself, you could send me the template, and I should be able to fix that.
