    Lightbulb ideas for twoggle.com, ugr.com.au?

I bought the domain twoggle.com for a couple of thousand dollars a couple of years ago and was wondering what to do with it now.

Thinking perhaps some sort of script for twitter (friend-adding one perhaps?) which can be sold.

Also bought the domain ugr.com.au a while back and it gets good traffic (around 100 uniques/day) without any promotion whatsoever so wondering what could be done with it.

If anyone would like to consider a partnership in any of the above two titles, do get in touch!

    Cheers
    G

Twoggle.com is a nice name. I'd definitely aim to do something twitter related.. the only problem is that there are already a plethora of twitter apps out there doing nearly everything. With the name I think it needs to do something quirky and clever, and I'm thinking some sort of toggle function related to twitter. What could you toggle on or off with twitter? Some kind of enhancement...

Toggle between different Twitter accounts (many people use more than one Twitter account).

Yea, something as simple as that might work. You could have a series of tabs along the top of the website for each twitter account, and toggling between them as easy as clicking.

Let me know if you would like me to help you with this

Tabbed twitter accounts on a simple page. How about it?

I would use something like that - I used to manage different Twitter accounts and stopped because it was too much logging out and then back in all the time.

You'll have to separate the cookies or something like that.

I'm sure we can sort something out in the form of link exchanges

i'd be willing to go halves with someone who is willing to implement it ... i can provide server, mysql (if needed), etc, etc. I just dont have much time for development

On second thoughts, HootSuite.com pretty much already does this, amongst lots of other things. Having a very simple set of tabbed twitter accounts with no sign up process might work, but I don't have that much time just now. I'll have a think about it.

No probs ftaylor. These things warrant a proper think-through, fully agree. Wow hootsuite is not bad at all. Wonder how they are monetized eh? A no-registration usage of multi-accounts for twoggle doesn't sound bad at all. Let us know your thoughts when you're ready ftaylor ...

This is a great idea... I myself would use that... Also, from my point of view to seperate cookies it can not be that hard... my simple approach would be every cookie name it (eg. cookie/, cookie//, cookie///) something like that... then to validate which cookie u use, use loop to count how many slashes, then connecting to twitter stripslash that cookie. That would be an approach that could work... I am not pro in php or anything but I have done something like that similar.

Well, you could do that, or you could have one central cookie twoggle with a list of accounts, and another bunch of cookies twoggle-accountname which you would look through.

Do you mean you would use it if it is no registration? Or just use it full stop? Am I correct in saying that hootsuite is completely free? I am pretty confident too that starting with something similar to hootsuite's multi-account section and growing it from there (or simply keeping it at that, which seems to be their most useful feature anyway) could become something worthy.

Well I think you should offer both. If someone seems like they want to use it quick to check a few things they aren't going to want to spend time registering but use image verification ( for bots purpose). You wouldn't need to put much or many ads there because in my opinion if someone is looking to quickly use it to check a few twitter accounts there more likely not to stay too long or they're there for one purpose. When you have registered users you can offer to save there twitter account passwords etc. so quick one user login. This you can have more ads knowing that they are returning clients that will keep coming back, in my opinion if people are willing to use that service they're likely to want to use more twitter apps and you would be advertising that also. So in my opinion I think both would be the best choice. People like choices and if they have a choice to register with benefits then they are more likely than be forced to join.
