    images as websites

Can you link to a photo? Does this have any benefit? SEO wise? in the context of some paragraphs on x topic, if the image file is already within the cgi bin or whatever, does linking word "spaceship" to the spaceship image www.ufosite.com/cgi-bin/spaceship.jpg yield any benefit to overall search profile or bot return values?

If you uploaded an image file (for example a photo of am amazing daisy), and put a domain name to it or a forward, (www.amazingdaisy.com), would that website accrue actual traffic?

What about the impressions statistics (from code put on the image leaf)demonstrating people hotlinking and using this links a hosted image within their uses on websites where the image was desired.

    would this work?

The idea is to seed your copy with related context and images that are relevant to your copy do show up in search engine results, when named accordingly. You can also disable hotlinking and forward the direct links to the page of your choice, e.g. homepage.

The search engines wont actually see the picture of course but will simply go on the descriptive text you mention alongside it.

People searching for images on google can actualy bring you some decent traffic.

It is therefore important that when embedding a picture within your content that you make proper and full use of the ALT and Title tags. This will indeed help in a search engine marking the relevance of your whole page.
