Hey all,
I've recently noticed more and more websites having a sort of link bar at the bottom of their pages; examples can be seen at:

http://beta.dnforum.com/forum
http://www.knownhost.com/

I haven't really seen this before, nor have I read much about it (although I'm guessing it's mainly for SEO and a bit of usability thrown in?) - hence I'm wondering if there are any good articles around about how best to implement one of these link bar sections?
