I usually do my own graphic work - but I have too many things going right now - and I'm also burned out on making logos. So I need somebody to make me a really nice logo. There are many good designers here - but I need something that will be better than the average logo. It needs to really POP!
The domain....
V A L U E S . O R G
The details.....
-White background.
-Prefer Green Letters.
-Might be cool if the 'S' on the end was a '$' - dollar sign. (just an idea)
-Trim colors are open - but gold and green work well together.
-Needs to have more than just text. Needs some sort of graphic that represents 'values'.
-See the dollar bill logo at the top of the DNF homepage (for the auctions) as an example.
-The .ORG letters should be present - but smaller - and different from the VALUES.
-Bright & Colorful.
-Finished logo of medium size.
-Possibly room for a 'slogan' - but not sure yet.
The price.......
$25-$50 depending on what somebody comes up with - plus 500 DNF$. This will be a FREE site - non profit - search type service for the best values on the web. Therefore the budget is not big.
The catch......
Most logos will not be good enough. I can already tell you that. So if you are sensitive - or easily offended by a simple 'NO' - then don't bother to even try. I have a hard time telling people I don't like their work. In order to prevent torturing myself - I am going to give simple NO -or- YES answers. I will be able to tell fairly quickly who has the certain style I am looking for - so do something as a rough draft or idea first - and I will attempt to make a choice (of person) as quick as possible - so we can move forward and get it done.
The time frame......
Open. I have just received an offer to co-develop this name - and will be busy working out the details with the other parties. So there is no hurry to get it done today or tomorrow etc. We need a SUPER COOL logo and are willing to wait.
Thanks!![]()
P.S. - The logo can't contain any images ripped from some other source. We must be able to use it and brand it - without any fear of complications regarding using somebody else's image. A little Clip Art (etc.) is fine - as long as it's public property and not restricted in any way.
The $20 Banners guy who did Fonz's logo and banners for WebmasterAds did a great job. I think Fonz posted his URL in another thread.

That looks very nice Beatz
Popper I would suggest you work with Beatz on this project. I believe his work to be better then mine. I have no problem admitting it, its the truth. I only want the best for you Popper and your site.
Thanks,
Mike
PS : I will refund your $ Popper, no problem and no hard feelings, you deserve the best your money can buy, I insist![]()
Gee.... this is awkward.
No matter what Mike - you are not leaving empty handed. We had a deal. Period!
I will be back soon. I'm confused.......
(2 nice guys - 2 nice efforts)
Don't worry about it Popper, I'm not
I removed the confusion for you, $ refunded.
Thanks,
Mike
Well I'm just going to send it right back.
You have already spent time & effort on this.
If I have to pay for two - that's my problem. We had a deal.
Besides - maybe I can use them all!![]()
NO! Please dont.
Mike
Damn it....
Mike I'm sorry - but I can't live with myself if you are not compensated for your time and effort.
We had a deal - you are a great designer - a great member - and also a friend.
Damn it - I'm sending the money back dude.
Please dont Popper, I beg of you.
Mike
For the record - Mike wouldn't keep the money. He did finally accept half (50%) though - but I had to twist his arm just to get him to accept that. He earned it with the time & work he had already put in. He is a very kind person - and very generous. I've never had to argue with anybody to get them to TAKE money before. Hehe
Mike is a class act. (and stubborn too!)
This may seem 'small' to some people - but neither of us are exactly wealthy - so $25-$50 still means something to both of us. We both were trying to do the right thing here - and I'm just glad we worked it out.
I'm also glad to call Mike my friend!(and Tippy too)
