Looking for ideas on how to re-develop LinkMates.com

Thanks David and Brian....some great ideas there...would it have to be cars.linkmates.com...adults.linkmates.com...etc... ?....cant it just be linkmates.com with a "cars" section...."adults" section/tabs...etc...?...that would work as well....no?....and yeah Brian....the starting point is the obstacle....i guess if there is mass exposure on the onset....external advertising could float the site while further expansion takes place.....or even VC$$....i just have to do alot of research/head-banging to make this right....

Yes that could all work just as well. When I explain things I usually do that in a subdomain manner just to show as a categorized view.

.....thats what i thought....big question is...is this route the best to go for LinkMates.com......i'm still a little leery that a name like "linkmates" can be a social network/community.....the "link" part of it keeps me teetering....

I'm really wanting to take this name to the next level.....leaning towards a huge social networking site....any feedback/ideas?...will be looking eventually for developer/partner......
