    Making money with Amazon?

Anyone here making money as an affiliate with Amazon.com?

I'm also interested in hearing of people's experiences with them in general.

    Thanks in advance!

amazon is a very respectable company but their payout rate is much lower than years ago

also, some sites may find it difficult to get commissions through them since everyone knows amazon anyway and would probably just type the url in their browser

some sites are still making a packet with them though - especially coupon sites etc

In my experience with amazon in which I have both redirected traffic directly to them and also used targeted product links within a content site.

    Net result - ZERO sales

Mind you I didn't stick with it ... after 6,000 - 8,000 uniques sent to them I gave up - figured I was doing something wrong.

if you were a cdnow affiliate you can earn $50 extra from amazon for making 10 sales between at least 5 customers through out the whole of december...

basically amazon just bought cdnows affiliate arm and are integrating them into their own... to encourage the switchover they are offering this extra cash...

I'm working on integrating their webservices into my hiphopdvds.com site at the moment so if i have any luck i will certainly let you know.

    Thanks, Fonz, Beer, and Ciq.

I'll definately be having a look at CDnow...

    What are the coupon sites?

If anyone else has had some experience with Amazon, I'd really appreciate hearing about it, and I'm sure others on the forum would too!

    Cheers!

I've been a member of Amazon for a couple months now. The commission is very low. I've sent almost 5300 unique visitors.
I've made a whopping $16.84(Thats $384.24 worth of stuff) so far, but I expect that to rise next update cause I sold a few more stuff the last couple days
