    He wanted me to send it to John Doe in Windham, NY 12496, then he gave me a few other names to send it to. He was going to use a Western union cash stand. Cedarhurst was the other city he gave me.

    I think you can require that Western Union provide you with a copy of the photo ID of the person doing the pickup. I would overnight him a check -- made out to "john doe" so that it couldn't be cashed, then get his real name and call the police.

    Too bad there is no Google Streetmaps for his town. You could say, "my brother has your money and wants to meet you. He will be at (find a landmark) at x 'oclock. Make this guy sweat.
