    Is my traffic worth anyhing?

    Hi,

I run a norwegian site where you can book hotels. One month after going online it recieves 100 uniqe visitors/day. The amount of visitors is increasing and was doubled last week.

    My question:

How many visitors/page views do I need before my site is starting to be attractive to advertisers? Is it a web site where I can get an estimate on how much hotel related traffic is "worth" when it comes to advertising? Maybe someone here on DNforum know something about this?

    Thanks!

I found a site that says a banner often costs 20$/1000 impressions. Does that sound fair?

Generally it depends on key-word, and hotels (depending on location are expensive), but $20/1000-cpm is quite high. Generally banners get approximately $4-5.

Thanks a lot. Where can I find advertisers that pay for x impressions instead of sales/clicks?

    Why don't you want clicks?

don't know if this is what you're asking but...

if you site currently is enabled in some way to book hotels, then take the number of visitors and figure the conversion rate based on services booked.

    for instance:

if you have 10 visitors and 3 of them book a hotel, then your conversion is 33.33%

then go check ad bid prices for keywords of your site, average them out and present that amount to charge a potential advertiser.

so if your site's gets 100 visitors a day, then you charge them 33 visitors x's (kw bid price $1.00) = $33.00 per day.

that calculation is based on a 33% click thru rate

the trick is getting the advertisiers with such low traffic.

i would think a large corporation would like to see a minimum of at least 1000 visitors a day.

so how are yoou booking hotels rooms, thru affiliate or what?
